Uber is riding straight into PR hell.
The ride-sharing company is currently enduring the full wrath of the internet after infuriating customers following its reaction to a Muslim travel ban issued by President Donald Trump.
On Saturday, thousands of people showed up at John F. Kennedy Airport in New York City to protest the president’s order. The NY Taxi Workers Alliance called for an hour-long work stoppage to protest the ban and during this time, Uber sent out a tweet stating that the company would pause surge pricing. Many took this as a form of “strike breaking,” whilst simultaneously profiting off the situation. Read more…
