India’s financial capital is also its richest city and home to its wealthiest man

Mumbai, India’s financial capital and also home to its richest man, is the country’s wealthiest city ahead of national capital Delhi and the IT city of Bangalore — also known as India’s Silicon Valley. 

According to the New World Wealth report, Mumbai is home to 46,000 millionaires and 28 billionaires along with a total wealth of $820 billion. 

Capital Delhi is home to 23,000 millionaires and 18 billionaires with a total wealth of $450 billion, while Bangalore with a total wealth of $320 billion houses 7,700 millionaires and 8 billionaires, many of which likely belong to the country’s booming technology sector. Read more…
