Remember that sweet, rosy time just weeks ago, when Twitter’s main concern was about the press “normalizing” Trump.
Ah, the good old days. While not every outlet has responded to the call, most have focused critical attention on the Oval OfficeTeen Vogue has stepped up, as has a goddamn dictionary.
Then there’s US Weekly.
The popular magazine came under fire recently for a cover photo featuring Trump’s kids lightly tousling each other’s hair and otherwise enjoying their cherubic problem-free life. While printing photos of a president’s family is standard practice for a pop culture magazine, the article was published right as the president’s immigration ban went into effect, leaving vulnerable immigrants stranded at airports or forced to return to their country of origin, even if they had green cardsSyrian and Iraqi refugees on their way to America were made to turn back, putting their lives at grave and imminent risk.
