Kevin Spacey’s Emmy Founders Award canceled after allegations

The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences has decided to withdraw a forthcoming accolade destined for Kevin Spacey.

The organization, which awards Emmys to television programs outside the U.S., said in a statement Tuesday it would no longer honor Spacey at its 2017 event, following accusations of sexual misconduct against him.

Spacey was due to receive the Emmy International Founders Award at a ceremony in New York on Nov. 20 alongside the recipients of 11 Emmy statues for programming and performances. Read more…
