Tom Hanks bought reporters an espresso machine because ‘those poor bastards need coffee’

If there’s anyone who needs coffee, Tom Hanks believes it’s a White House press corps’ reporter. 

He bought an espresso machine for the entire stable of White House reporters because “those poor bastards” need it, the actor said Friday on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Hanks did the same when George W. Bush and Barack Obama were president, but there are a few hints that this time, the espresso machine was purchased with a bit more meaning.
