When buying fresh produce, the occasional insect is to be expected. However, one woman in the UK wasn’t prepared for the critter she found when she opened her bag of bananas.
Claire Todd purchased a bunch of fair trade bananas from her local Aldi. When she reached into the bag the next day, she felt something slimy.
“I looked to see what it was and at first I thought it was a slug,” she told Mashable. “It wasn’t until I turned the banana around that I saw it was a frog!”
The frog in question was dead and decaying — stuck to the yellow peel of one of the bananas. Read more…
