J.K. Rowling made a major correction to this ‘Daily Mail’ tweet

LONDON — A tweet from the Daily Mail‘s US Twitter account has been met with criticism from Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling.

The tweet, which was sent on Monday, concerned Alexandre Bissonnette — the student who’s now been charged with the mosque attack in Quebec which left six people dead and many injured.

Rowling shared a screengrab and accompanied it with eight words. She’s since been retweeted over 100,000 times.

Rowling wasn’t the only person who disagreed with the “‘Lone wolf'” description. A large number of replies to the Daily Mail‘s tweet also argued that the term “terrorist” should be used instead. Read more…
