People are pretty unamused by Ikea’s latest April Fool’s prank

Swedish furniture giant Ikea is pretty well known for its in-store kids’ playground, with its colourful plastic products and multitude of toys.

So when Ikea Singapore announced that they were scrapping it in favour of digital tablet stations, people got pretty pissed. 

Except they’re probably forgetting what day it is tomorrow — that’s right, April Fools’.

Despite a swarm of organisations and brands pulling the same trick every year, most netizens seem pretty convinced by the company’s statement.

Some however, were faster to catch on, though it probably would have been more obvious if they had actually carried out the prank on the actual day y’know. Talk about jumping the gun. Read more…
