Spaghetti donuts are the latest frankenfood obsession

Ramen burgers and Cronuts are so de riguer now, even your grandma knows about them. 

The next wave of mashup food is here and it is…well, it’s spaghetti donuts. 

That’s right, spaghetti donuts are going to hit Broooklyn’s Smorgasburg food fair the first weekend in April. 

Pop Pasta, who makes the spaghetti donuts, says they are a takeoff on spaghetti pie, which it calls a “Neapolitan tradition.” The donuts are baked into rounds either flavored like carbonara, bolognese or red sauce and may be eaten room temperature or warmed.  Read more…
