They share the streets, so they might as well share their food.
A tourist captured this video of a very generous carriage-pulling horse feeding pigeons near Central Park by spitting some of its food onto the ground for them:
Because the horse’s head took up too much space inside the bucket, the pigeons couldn’t sneak their way in to steal a snack. But, the horse had its bros’ backs and fed them from its own stash. After all, city animals need to stick together.
