Yeah, the Oscars may not be the best thing to talk about on your next date

This year’s Academy Awards may have been a little more shocking than most, but it apparently still provided plenty of things for people to loathe.

Hater, the dating app that brings people together based on what they both dislike, asked their users to weigh in on this year’s Oscars, and they found plenty of common ground. People were offered the award show-specific topics in the week leading up to the ceremony, and — as with all topics — they swiped on them to indicate love, hate, like and dislike.

Funnily enough, the thing they hated the most was “listening to other’s Oscar predictions.” Turns out sitting through people’s thoughts on Best Actor are about as interesting as hearing people drone on about their dreams. So maybe don’t drop your deep showbiz insights on your next date. Read more…
